The rideshare program’s review will include looking at long-term recommendations on how best to provide services to the Kyle community for the next five years, according to the press release.

The city said the program has grown from just under 4,000 trips in 2021 to nearly 60,000 trips in 2024.

“The Uber Kyle $3.14 program has been a game-changer for Kyle, but as our city grows so must the program,” Director of Transportation and Public Works Mike Trimble said in the release. “This review is about making sure we continue to provide affordable, reliable rides while planning for the future.”

The review will seek input from residents on the program’s strength and weaknesses, gaps in coverage, costs, management and more. Kyle residents can provide feedback online between now and Oct. 31.

According to the press release, residents can also give feedback at two pop-up events that include:

  • Kyle Market Days – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration: Sept 13. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mary Kyle Harton Park, 101 S. Burleson Street.
  • 2025 City Fest: Oct. 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at La Verde Park, 3901 Burnham.

During the events, city, staff and project staff will be available to provide information and address questions from residents, the city said.
