AUSTIN (KXAN) — The two teams facing off in Thursday’s KBVO Game of the Week are headed in different directions.
Pflugerville and Elgin face off at 7:30 p.m. at The Pfield, and the Panthers have won their past two games by a combined score of 102-20. Pflugerville opened District 11-5A2 play last week with a 62-20 win over Navarro, and in its last nondistrict game, pounded Fort Bend Christian 40-0.

The Panthers are led by quarterback Cole Taylor, who in four games this season has thrown for 1,159 yards and 17 touchdowns against three interceptions. Breland Hill has been on the receiving end of a lot of Taylor’s passes, hauling in 27 for 457 yards and eight touchdowns.
Elgin is trying to find its way after roster and coaching staff turnover in the offseason. The Wildcats fell to McCallum 45-14 in the district opener last week, and in the three nondistrict games before that, scored just 13 points combined.
Roger Wallace, Keith Moreland and LeVon Whittaker will be on the call for Thursday’s game.
