AUSTIN (KXAN) — Vista Ridge and Bowie clash to see who can start the season 2-0 Thursday at Burger Stadium in Thursday’s KBVO Game of the Week. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Vista Ridge topped Killeen 30-14 behind a pair of rushing touchdowns from junior running back Quinn Szczytowski and 200 passing yards by senior quarterback Kaden Arnot. He tossed a touchdown to Kieran Paegle.
Bowie blew out Manor 49-14 in Week 1 with a monster night by junior running back Rhys Moreno. He averaged nearly 22 yards per carry, racking up 284 yards on 13 carries with four touchdowns. Bowie didn’t need to throw the ball much against the Mustangs, attempting just seven passes, en route to 413 total rushing yards on 29 attempts. The Bulldogs led 42-0 at halftime.
