AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Independent School District is partnering with the Austin Ed Fund, a nonprofit organization for public education in Austin, to launch a naming rights opportunity at district stadiums and other popular district venues.
The program is anticipated to bring in tens of millions of dollars in revenue once it’s fully implemented, according to AISD.
Naming rights are currently offered via the program to the following district facilities, as provided by AISD — the AISD Performing Arts Center, House Park Field, Nelson Field, Burger Center, Delco Center and Noack Sports Complex, according to a news release.
This is an initiative that “expands the Ed Fund’s corporate sponsorship program, creating additional ways for partners to invest in students, support educators, and strengthen opportunities across the district,” according to the AISD website.
“This naming rights program represents a significant opportunity for businesses and organizations to make a lasting impact on Austin’s educational landscape while gaining meaningful community recognition,” AISD Superintendent Matias Segura said in the release. “We’re seeking partners who share our commitment to high-quality education and want to invest in the future of Austin’s students.”
Whether it’s on marquee facility naming rights or for an individual press box, the district said naming opportunities are offered at many levels.
According to AISD, Austin Ed Fund serves “as the stewardship partner and trusted fiscal agent for all naming agreements, ensuring proper partner recognition and fund management.
“Proceeds will directly support educational programs and offset operational expenses. Sponsorship agreements will outline specific terms and conditions for each partnership. All naming opportunities must comply with Austin ISD board policy requirements and receive formal trustee approval,” the district said.
For any businesses or organizations interested in learning about these opportunities can visit the AISD website or the Austin Ed website.
