AUSTIN (KXAN) — The ground delay at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport ended Friday afternoon, AUS said on social media.
The delay was initially expected to last until 5 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration advisory listed staffing as a reason for the delay.
Austin’s airport has dealt with several ground delays and a very brief ground stop in October. On Oct. 13, the FAA cited staffing as the reason for a ground delay. The incident resulted in an hour-long ground stop.
Ground delays change a flight’s departure times, while a ground stop prevents flights from leaving, the FAA explains.
“Keep an eye on your flight status & connect directly w/ airlines for more info,” AUS said. Check here for updates from the FAA.
