AUSTIN (KXAN) — Georgetown’s Environmental Services team will host a recycling event for residents on April 12, according to a news release from the city.
The event takes place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Georgetown Municipal Complex, 300-1 Industrial Ave.. The event is free for residents who make a donation to the Georgetown Police Department’s Victim Services Unit. The city will accept monetary donations as well.
Residents can donate items ranging from furniture to electronics to lawn equipment. The city will also collect used and unwanted crayons for The Crayon Initiative, which donates crayons to children’s hospitals.
The city said it will not accept hazardous or medical waste, batteries and light bulbs, oxygen tanks, and construction debris.
