AUSTIN (KXAN) — The United States Grand Prix has extended its contract with Circuit of The Americas, according to COTA.
An official social media page for COTA said the U.S. Grand Prix would remain on the calendar until 2034. The Formula One (F1) Grand Prix brings in tens of thousands of visitors, as well as international attention.
In September, Travis County also secured the winning bid to host F1 at the COTA racetrack facilities.
On Thursday, Travis County commissioners brought the deal one step closer by authorizing the Circuit Events Local Organizing Committee to apply for the Major Events Reimbursement Program.
