Tuesday forecast for Austin: It’s going to be a gloomy and warm Tuesday, folks!
Skies will be mostly cloudy during the day with a 20% chance of rain before 10 a.m., the National Weather Service said. South winds blowing 10 to 15 mph could have gusts as high as 20 mph.
Temperatures will heat up to a high near 89 degrees, forecasters said.
Rain chances will increase to 80% at night. Up to a quarter-inch of rainfall is possible, the weather service said.
Temperatures will decrease to a low around 69 degrees and winds will become east-northeast after midnight.
Rain chances will last through the day Wednesday, according to the weather service’s extended forecast:
Wednesday: High near 82 with an 80% chance of rain. North-northeast winds blowing 5 to 15 mph could have 20 mph gusts. Clear at night with a low around 56.
Thursday: Sunny with a high near 85. Clear at night with a low around 60.
Friday: Sunny with a high near 90. Mostly clear at night with a low around 67.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 93. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 70.
Sunday: Partly sunny with a high near 94. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 71.
Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94.
