AUSTIN (KXAN) — A boil water notice was issued for all city of Manor water customers Wednesday after a water line break was reported, per a news release from the city.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality said all customers should boil their water before any consumption, the city said.
The city said all customers in Manor’s public water system are affected. Certain subdivisions receive water from another provider and are not currently impacted by the boil water notice:
- Stone Water
- Presidential Meadows
- ShadowGlen
- Carriage Hills
- Bells Farms
- Manor Village
- Palomino
“In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source for drinking or human consumption purposes,” the city said.
Water officials will notify customers once the boil water notice is no longer in effect and when the water is safe to consume, according to the city.
Those affected by the boil water notice who have any questions can reach out to the city during weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 512-703-8587.
