DALE, Texas (KXAN) — The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that happened in Dale on Easter.
Deputies responded to a crash in the 6000 block of Taylorsville Road on Sunday, where a vehicle with three men inside had lost control and rolled over.
Two of the occupants were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
The third person died after first responders attempted life-saving measures.
The sheriff’s office said the crash investigation revealed that the person who died had a gunshot wound. Deputies then went to a nearby house, where they said the shooting happened, to continue investigating.
The person who died has not yet been identified by authorities, and the investigation is ongoing.
