AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died after they were hit by a vehicle in south Austin over the weekend, according to the Austin Police Department.
Officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of South First Street and Orland Boulevard. According to police, the vehicle did not stay at the scene.
The pedestrian, who was not identified Monday, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.
This is now being investigated as Austin’s 75th fatal crash of 2025, according to APD.
