Around 8 a.m., Bee Cave PD said on social media it responded to the crash in the 11400 block of Bee Caves Road.

According to police, a vehicle was driving west on Bee Caves Road when it “crossed the center line into eastbound traffic, sideswiping one vehicle before colliding head-on with a second.”

“The driver of the car that was hit head-on was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the westbound vehicle did not survive the collision,” police said.

Police investigated the scene, and all roads have been reopened.

“Bee Cave Police urge all drivers to make safety their top priority by obeying speed limits, buckling up and avoiding distractions,” police said.

No other details were available, and the crash remained under investigation Friday.
