AUSTIN (KXAN) — This year’s inaugural Texas Capital Air Show in San Marcos has been canceled and postponed until next year due to the Federal Government shutdown, said a news release.
The air show was originally scheduled for Nov. 1-2, 2025, but organizers determined that they’ll be “unable to give our great fans, and our Veterans and First Responders the kind of air show you deserve.”
Organizers said the event was postponed to Nov. 7-8, 2026.
What happens to tickets purchased for the event?
The organization provided three options for those who purchased tickets for the 2025 Texas Capital Air Show. The following are the options, per the release:
- We ask that you hold onto them. They will be good for our new show dates of Nov. 7 and 8, 2026. Additionally details will be released in December.
- If you prefer a refund, email info@texascapitalairshow.com with your request by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 21.
- You can turn your purchase into a 100% tax deductible donation to Wings & Warriors to help support Veterans and First Responders. Email info@texascapitalairshow.com and the organization will send a donation receipt for tax purposes.
“We are sorry for this inconvenience and thank you for your continued support for Wings & Warriors and the Texas Capital Air Show,” the release said.
