AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, Georgetown ISD celebrated the groundbreaking of its fourth high school. The project site is off DR Wood Road near Lake Georgetown.
The school, which has not yet been named, is expected to be completed in fall 2028. Voters approved funding for the school in a 2024 bond package.

At nearly $650 million, that bond also includes safety and security equipment, a new elementary and middle school, and new school buses.
