Texas dominated the net with a .381 hitting percentage while holding the Sun Devils to .227.

As the score indicated, things got wild in the second set of the match. Arizona State had match points twice down the stretch, but the Longhorns fought them off to get the score to 26-26. The Sun Devils kept the Longhorns from winning for a while, but eventually, Taylor Harvey and Spears notched consecutive kills to put away the set, 30-28.

After facing the Horned Frogs, Texas completes its nonconference slate Friday at home against Baylor. They’ll open Southeastern Conference play at home Sept. 24 against Vanderbilt.
