AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, a Llano County man was arrested after barricading himself inside a home following a family violence incident, according to a social media post by authorities.
The Llano County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call of a disturbance in the 1000 block of Willow Drive in Kingsland at 10 a.m. Deputies found a woman who said she was strangled by the suspect, who was identified as Jesse Daniel Savage.
KXAN has reached out to officials for Savage’s attorney information to get a statement regarding his case. We will update this story if and when a statement is received.
When deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant to Savage, he barricaded himself in a home, authorities said in the post.
LCSO crisis negotiators attempted multiple times to de-escalate the situation to get Savage to surrender himself into custody peacefully, however Savage refused to do so. Authorities then used a “non-lethal Pepperball launcher.” Savage was taken into custody without incident, according to the social media post.
Hamilton EMS evaluated Savage at the scene before he was booked into the Llano County Jail. Savage’s bond was set at $100,000.
