AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Travis County Sheriff’s Office seeks public help finding a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that happened on East Parmer Lane on Aug. 31. The agency also identified the victim who died.
The victim was identified as 33-year-old Yury Bobadilla, and the suspect was identified as 28-year-old Olmer Lopez, according to a news release from TCSO.
Deputies with TCSO responded shortly before 1 a.m. for a disturbance call at a residence in the 8400 block of East Parmer Lane. Callers reported to 911 that two people were “yelling and fighting in the parking lot.”
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Bobadilla “lying on the pavement in need of immediate medical assistance.” TCSO said, “CPR was administered on the scene,” and Bobadilla was taken to a local hospital by Austin-Travis County EMS, where she was later pronounced dead.
According to TCSO, “surveillance video showed Bobadilla suffered physical abuse at the hands of Lopez, her ex-boyfriend, and was pushed into the path of a moving vehicle.” Lopez left the scene before TCSO arrived.
A warrant was issued for Lopez’s arrest by TCSO, and as of Tuesday, “he is actively being pursued by the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.”
Anyone who has any information on Lopez’s whereabouts is asked to call the TCSO tip line at 512-854-1444 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477.
