AUSTIN (KXAN) — A KXAN investigation found that after a Texas school board adopted a plan to replace school leadership and some instructional staff from its lowest-performing schools, district leaders scrambled —up until days before the first day of school— to fill the vacancies left with the “highly effective” educators they wanted to replace them with.
This week on Inside the Investigation, Investigator Kelly Wiley and Digital Data Reporter Christopher Adams break down why district leaders believe the plan will prevent the state from intervening in the local control of its schools.
