AUSTIN (KXAN) — A person died Monday morning in an auto-pedestrian crash in southeast Austin.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics and the fire department responded to the scene of an auto-ped in the 8300 block of East Ben White Boulevard, near U.S. Highway 183. An adult was pronounced dead on the scene, according to ATCEMS.
The Austin Police Department said the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. and part of the road was shut down.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, all lanes on the eastbound side of Ben White were closed at 183, and traffic was being diverted to the frontage road at East Riverside Drive.
