AUSTIN (KXAN) — A pair of big bands kicks off a weekend full of music in Austin this weekend.
Weezer, best known for their hits “Buddy Holly” and “Island in the Sun,” have embarked on their Voyage of the Blue Planet Tour in support of their “Blue Album.”
The band will be joined by The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. at the Moody Center this Friday.
They aren’t the only band visiting Central Texas. Sum 41 is swinging by with their tour “Setting Sum” at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park this Saturday.
A pair of DJs will also be in Austin. Zedd will perform at Austin City Limits Live at Moody Theater in downtown Austin on Friday. Zedd is continuing his Telos tour.
Swedish DJ KYGO also heads to Austin on his world tour, performing Saturday at Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
For the kids, “Disney Jr. Live on Tour: Let’s Play” will be at Bass Concert Hall on Sunday bringing Spider-Man, Mickey, and Disney princesses to the fun.
