Temperatures, rain, severe storms: Explore Austin’s 2024 weather data

It’s rare for that to happen. Since Austin’s weather records began in the 1890s, June has been hotter than July only 10 times. Put another way, July has been hotter than June 91% of the time since records began.

This year, June was on average 3.2° hotter than normal, while July was only 0.1° hotter than normal, despite 10 days at or above 100°. Several days of rain in July meant five days had highs only in the 80s, which brought down the average temperature for the month.
