AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating after a person was shot and injured at an apartment complex in east Austin early Wednesday.
APD said officers responded at 2:54 a.m. to reports of shots fired at the Arbors at Creekside Apartments on Clayton Lane. The complex is located just east of Interstate 35 and south of U.S. Hwy. 290.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found one victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
APD said the suspect was not on the scene and no arrests have been made.
Police said this is an open and ongoing investigation.
