Texas Governor Greg Abbott launches top 10 wanted illegal immigrants list

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Wednesday, Gov. Greg Abbott announced the launch of an illegal immigrants list, which will comprise the top 10 wanted illegal criminal fugitives, Abbott’s office said in a news release Wednesday.

The Top 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List is a joint partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The list will help find repeat offenders who have entered the country illegally and are wanted for dangerous crimes committed in the state, the release said.

“Individuals on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List are likely to commit other crimes, and DPS is enlisting the public’s help in apprehending these offenders before they commit additional crimes,” DPS Director Steve McCraw said in the release.

Texas DPS published the list with photos on its website.

The Texas Crime Stoppers will offer cash rewards to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest for anyone on the top 10 list, the release said.

Tipsters who are available for cash rewards need to provide the information below provided by Abbott’s office:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

According to Abbott’s office, all tips are anonymous, regardless of how tipsters choose to submit them.
