AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person was seriously injured after a cement mixer truck rolled over Wednesday afternoon near Lakeway, according to officials.
Austin-Travis County EMS and Lake Travis Fire Rescue responded to the area of 528-745 Highlands Boulevard, which is near Lakeway, shortly before 4 p.m. for the crash. Travis County STAR Flight also responded to the crash, LTFR said on social media.
One person was reported pinned in the vehicle, but LTFR said crews were able to remove that person from the truck.
Around 5:15 p.m., LTFR said it cleared the scene. Then, at 5:21 p.m., ATCEMS medics said it transported one adult to Dell Seton Medical Center with “potentially serious, non-life threatening injuries.”
LTFR said crews with the City of Lakeway Public Works Department will remain on the scene until a wrecker can remove the cement truck.
No other details were released on Wednesday.
