P. Terry’s crispy chicken bites now permanently on the menu

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Central Texans can now enjoy P. Terry’s crispy chicken bites for good. It was originally a limited promotion that began back in March. However, due to the success of selling more than one million bites, they will now remain permanently on the menu, the restaurant said in a news release.

The crispy chicken bites now appear on the P. Terry’s menu board as item #6, the release said.

“We’re very protective of our menu,” said Patrick Terry, CEO, and co-founder of P. Terry’s in the release. “So for us to add an item, particularly a non-burger item to our menu, we must be happy with our test results. The simple list of ingredients; breadcrumbs, buttermilk, corn starch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder while using only 100% antibiotic free chicken breast is probably the reason for the overall approval from our guests.”

P. Terry’s in-house chef, Frankie Alvarado, developed and created the bites and also helped oversee the creation of the five dipping sauces to go with the bites, the release said.

The bites are served in quantities of eight, the release said.

“With a price of $4.95, P. Terry’s is once again offering more chicken at a better price than all its competitors. That is something we take great pride in,” Terry said.
