ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A seven-hour police standoff in Round Rock ended peacefully Tuesday afternoon.
According to Round Rock Police Department, a man refused to get out of a vehicle but eventually surrendered to authorities.
RRPD says they received a mental health call around 10 a.m. in the 3100 block of Bluffs Landing Way, near the intersection of A.W. Grimes and Old Settler’s Boulevard.
A deputy with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office later found the person inside the vehicle.
Residents at the nearby Bluffs Landing Senior Village were asked to shelter in place temporarily because the report claimed the person was armed.
