AUSTIN (KXAN) — University of Texas police have cleared the campus’ Union Building after a report of a loud noise on Wednesday night.
UTPD and Austin police went through and cleared each floor while searching for the source, UTPD says. Earlier in the night, police said they’d received reports of possible fireworks outside the building, but that was unconfirmed.
Union Building is safe for re-entry and no source of the reported noise or any suspicious activity was found, UTPD says.
Officers will remain on-site.
