KUTX 98.9 Named ‘Best Radio Station’ In Annual Readers’ Poll for Sixth Year

“Left of the Dial,” Laurie Gallardo named Best Radio Music Program and Personality respectively

AUSTIN, Texas – March 4, 2020 – For the sixth year, Central Texans have voted KUTX 98.9, the Austin Music Experience, “Best Radio Station” in the Austin Chronicle’s annual Austin Music poll.

“Left of the Dial,” hosted by Rick McNulty, was named “Best Radio Music Program” and Laurie Gallardo was named “Best Radio Host” at the 2020 Austin Music Industry Awards at Emo’s Austin on March 2.

This is the first time “Left of the Dial” has won the “Best Radio Music Program” category. Hosted by Rick McNulty from 7 to 11 p.m., Fridays.

This is the fourth consecutive year Gallardo has been named “Best Radio Personality” in the readers’ poll. She hosts music from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday on KUTX 98.9 and produces the Austin Music Minute, which shines the spotlight on live music shows around town six days a week.
