1 arrested, 5 hurt after crash at Raising Cane's in downtown Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 21-year-old woman was arrested after crashing into five pedestrians with a Ford F-150 truck early Friday morning at the Raising Cane’s in downtown Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

APD said Austin-Travis County EMS took four of the victims to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck was identified as Antonia G. Garcia Rios. She was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail. She currently faces two counts of intoxication assault charges, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at 2:25 a.m., according to Austin police.
